Quote of the Day

"My husband and I always discuss, 'Why do we try to better ourselves, when it seems if you do nothing, you get all the help in the world?'”

I'm SO there, ma'am.

As my hero Rick Santelli says, "Tea party!"

UPDATE: Gracious goodness, HOARDES of disgruntled...Instapundit mortgage/tax payers!!! A Warm Swill Welcome to you all and our fervent thanks to the Blogfaddah, who should be aware that his box o' tea and war paint is waiting at the rail on the starboard side of our tipsy ship o' state.

"Their frustration is justified, said Richard Green, director of the Lusk Center for Real Estate at the University of Southern California. But the economic risk of letting millions of homeowners default on their mortgages leaves the government with little choice."

Horsepuckey. The government had PLENTY of choices. They just made the easiest one: don't tell the idiots that they're idiots.

You might want to feel that way. Commuting to work, dealing with the stress of an actual job.. but these things are so trivial. You know what makes you crazy is the yearly paperwork review, sorting your IRS 1099's on your reported income, and sending you money off so that others get the help they need to make it through another empty day. That's the village at work. You just keep choosing to help. Thanks! Ever wonder why your income redistributed to others doesn't come with something like an IRS Form 1099-govUS for them to sweat over? It should almost be a hate crime to beg money from the government and fail to file the reports shouldn't it?

I'm only only in an apartment because housing around here was so outrageous in price for so long and I couldn't come close to affording it.

No way I should have to foot the bill for some knucklehead who didn't think before buying. (ESPECIALLY the house flippers.)
