What's scary is that I've watched Trading Places so many times that I can probably recite all the dialogue from that scene in my sleep. And it's still funny.

It really is.

I will definitely watch it again in the next few days.

HAPPY NEW YEARs to you ALL! Oh, I wish you could all be freezing out in Plaza Ferdinand with us tonight. The city's going to drop a giant glowing pelican from a crane at midnight, to start the celebration of our humble burg's 450th year. Yes, you read that right. We were America's FIRST settlement. Tristan de Luna came ashore in 1559. The reason we are not also America's oldest city is because a Cat 5 blew him OFF our white sands shortly thereafter.

Took a while before anyone was willing to come back.

Go figure.

But it'll be a helluva party tonight and I wish you could ALL be here!!

New Merryist Happy Year to all!!!!!!

Hey, Sis, get some photos, huh? And why a pelican? Why not a 'gator, or a Scottie?

Happy Merry New Year, Swillers!

Oh, and "freezing" in Pensacola? Whatever: it's seven degrees out right now here on lovely Cape Ann, and that's without the (considerable) wind chill. Thank God I spent the night inside.
