There Are Times When I Really Hate You Tube

Of course, when they show Al Qaeda videos. But mostly, when the reality doesn't quite match up to the fond, 20 year old memory I have. I can only believe that the initial impression was apparently distorted by the amount of alcohol perpetually in my system during a WestPac, because, while the song is still compelling...

...dear GOD, the video sucks. Bad. I guess I don't dare risk another emotional drubbing looking for "Jump".

Oh, what the hell. Cover me ~ I'm goin' in...

Thank GOD!!!

My faith is restored.

That Bonnie Tyler video looks like it was produced and directed by Weird Al Yankovic.

It is good to remember ol' Diamond Dave when he was still with Van Halen (and had his hair and didn't look like the crypt keeper).

Oh, Kcruella and I thought he was the bomb. GAH-RROOWWLLLLLLLLLLLL.

Plus, we always wanted to know WHERE he got those tights, 'cause they were awesome.

A few weeks ago I actually sought out TEOTH on YouTube because I hadn't heard it in a while and missed it. Strangely, that song never grows old on me.

Damn, I believe I saw FOUR bass drums. To play all those and the hi-hats, one would need five legs.

I still like that bright eyes song from a movie that I can't remember the name of. It had a lot of good songs in it . . .

I wish I could remember the name of the movie. I really liked it back then, but I would probably cringe at it today.

Oh yeah, just remembered: Streets of Fire.

Well, a check on wiki tells me that this song wasn't even in that movie. But "Tonight is what it means to be Young" sounds something like it.

I'm going to go crawl back in my hole now.

Ack! Kinda puts the Culture Club in perspective...

That video used to creep me all the hell OUT, with the glowing eyes. What the hell, was this about the Children of the Corn or something? It doesn't help that I've never liked Jim Steinman's music.

Now, if The Hoff sang it...
