I Wouldn't Talk to Them Either

There were about four pissy little stories and opinion pieces on MSNBC.com this morning (all gone now, of course) about how Sasha Cohen had dissed the media and not done a single interview. Well folks, since Sasha Cohen didn't exist as far as the media was concerned once La Kwan got her spot on the team, she's now supposed to forget she was chopped liver for those weeks? Even though she is (Did you know? Had you heard?) the reigning U.S Champion.

Pith on them.
UPDATE:

Cohen's first leads strong U.S. short program

Now, THAT's what I call a GREAT start! Go, girls, GO!!

Sasha Cohen is a beautiful skater, and I hope that she can remain consistent. On another note: I was interested to see that the Russian ice dancing gold medalists live and train in Montclair, NJ, while the bronze medalists from Ukraine do so in Connecticut.

OOOOh, I so agree, Sister Sue and I HAD to update the picture ~ her outfit is so SASHA! Gorgeous. I've got all the puddies crossed for her to do well. But no one expected her to be in the lead after the short, so that's a huge victory in it's own right, with teenagers Kimmie and Emily in the hunt as well. That rocks. ROCKS.

Michelle who?

Er, um, I really must say, I am SO head over heels in love with Sasha Cohen. She's something else. Absolutely speechless after her short program, and genuinely surprised her marks didn't place her further ahead. This being me, I was reminded of the very first phrase of the prologue to Shakespeare's Henry V:

"O for a Muse of fire..."

Michelle who?, indeed, THS.

I just got done watching the whole thing and the American girls were ethereal and amazing. Sasha transcended everything she's ever done and you are so right, Dave. Only .03 between her and "Rocky Top in the Glides" Slutskaya? How? Sasha was perfect.

Didn't see it. But, MAN - that pose makes me wince. I can't even bend my arms the way she bends her spine.

Seeing a pose like that, other things don't bend either.
