Admission is the First Stage of Recovery

My name is Sister.

And I have a thang...

...for bowls.

If it wasn't for that jailbird Martha Stewart and her happy little magazine, I'd have more. Bitch.

No, I wouldn't. I can be strong.

Not.

Or you could give lots of really bad haircuts to orphans. However, if you decide tp go that route, remind me not to eat ceral at your place.

Me? I collect cat fur. Not intentionally, but it happens.

We're short on orphans lately, so moppet heads of hair are safe.

Being males, you two obviously have no conception of the power of the bowl...

The seductive curves...

Love the bowls, ths. That looks like a one-person kitchen. I'm not sure there's really any other kind, though.

My wife calls that bad haircut that all male Chinese grad students seem to sport the "Size 5 Rice Bowl Haircut". Sure you aren't doing some business on the side to feed your habit, THS?

Nope, came by it honestly enough. And since Marfa decided to let the world know about the damn things, my $10 bargains have shot up to $60 for a chipped one. That woman ruins everything. And most of the temptation's been removed, since there are no decent junk stores to be had in this redNeck of the Panhandle.

And thank you, Rob! I'll be you've got gobs of great places to dig through over by you. Wish we did. I've been moaning and groaning about it since we moved here. They're fabulous for bread doughs ~ I use the great big ones for my King Cake dough to rise in. (Looks as big as Lucy's dough when it start growing.)

As for the kitchen, it's a two person model. Major Dad and I have the pas de deux down to an art form, since he spends as much time circling the island as I do.

Wow, that picture really bowls me over.

Posted by: The Real_JeffS at February 10, 2006 03:31 PM

Yeah, it took a lot of bowls to make that picture.

Posted by: Ken Summers at February 10, 2006 06:03 PM

Well, it is a moving experience, Ken!

You can never have too many bowls. Your collection puts mine to shame. There's this cute colorful set at Target that I want, but I can't justify buying it (mainly because I'm out of room in the cabinets)

Aw thanks, CM! I've got the same problem here ~ there's a little nesting set of vintage Pyrex that I wantwantwant BUT...
