There are 2 possibilities here:

1 - she's a slob. There are many who are and no amount of badgering is going to make them clean up.

2 - they're going for the "celebrities are just like us" look from those idiot celeb mags.

Sadly I've toured houses in far worse shape for junk laying around. It amazes me that people don't think twice about having people they don't know walking through and seeing their dirty laundry littering the place... yuck.

And these days everyone expects pictures with a listing online. If there are no pictures, people conclude the property is so bad there's no point in looking at it.

Her home doesn't look that bad. She should have picked up a few things, but it's basically in order. The worst thing about it is it's too cluttered; she needs to pack up some of her knicknacks. The decor is not to my taste -- it looks rather old-ladyish and "country" but wasn't she a country-ish pop star? (I was never into her.) Lots of people actually like that kozy kottage look, though when they go house shopping they act like they are used to living in a magazine display. Then they move in and put all their stained, crappy Ikea furniture in the house.

I cannot hear or read the name Debbie Gibson and not think of the Mojo Nixon song.
