"A Nation Of Cowards"

And not only that, but we actually have the nerve make private decisions in our private lives

(WASHINGTON) Attorney General Eric Holder described the United States Wednesday as a nation of cowards on matters of race, saying most Americans avoid discussing unresolved racial issues.

In a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History Month, Holder said the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives.

"Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards," said Holder, nation's first black attorney general.

Race issues continue to be a topic of political discussion, Holder said, but "we, as average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race."

I am so sputteringly mad at this, at the sheer arrogance of it, that I can't think straight.

How DARE we have private lives. How DARE we "cowards" decide who we will associate with, if anyone, on the weekends.

How DARE we racist cowards elect a black man to be our President.

If I wanted my government to dictate the matters of my "private" life, I would have emigrated to the Soviet Union when it was still around......and not volunteered to serve in the military.

Up yours, Holder.

Well, the election proved that white people aren't racists. But black people are.

So I guess that's an invitation to Mr. Holder's house this weekend, right? You know, so he and I can associate with each other and discuss racial matters? I think I'll start with all the little black kids in the school I went to for second grade who called me "white cracker." See, I was the only white kid in the school -- my mother happened to be a secretary there and was allowed to enroll me there even though we didn't live in that district. My parents didn't care that all the other students were black.

My parents, see, were staunch believers in getting to know other people from other ethnic groups and they had black friends and Cuban friends and Mexican friends... But as my mother was from a small town in Tennessee and my father grew up in Washington DC when it was still a segregated southern town, they would be automatically branded as atavistic white hillbillies and racists by Our Betters in the Media if they were alive today.

Right on! I was just saying the other day to my buddies at the hockey rink, "We just don't talk enough about race." We then spent the last six minutes of the third period in a spirited, but respectful, dialogue (in which we all agreed with each other, as is the custom among our cultural betters). The other team scored fifteen goals while we weren't paying attention, but I think we really grew as people.

On a related note, Holder can cram it with walnuts.

Fine by me. Let's start discussing the fact that "black" history month is inherently racist since it segregates "black" history from the rest of American history.

Let's also discuss the need for Eric Holder to insert a bowling ball into his mouth anytime he feels the need to make a speech.

I think it's past time for the "Descendants of European Colonists Day", dedicated to honoring the sacrifices and efforts of all crackers here in the You Ess of Eh.

The best date for this important occasion: April 15th. It's symbolic in more ways than one.

If there were justice for left-wing assholes, Holder would still be in prison for aiding and abetting a fugitive, namely Marc Rich.

"we, as average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race."

Funny. I kind of thought that was the whole point of the civil rights movement.

Hey Mr. Holder, can we discuss all the racist and fascist filth that can be found in Afrocentric Bookstores? And how anyone who points this out is branded a racist by your friends?
