Well, There Goes the High Ground

...and the wrong Rev. Wright off the front page.

Obama passport files violated; 2 State Department workers fired

Sometimes I think somebody pays these assh*les to be this stupid (Witness the Abu Ghraib cretins).

UPDATE: Whew!! He can't get much mileage if it happened to them all.

The State Department said Friday that all three presidential candidates' passport files were breached.

The employees fired were contract workers, thus not part of the good ole boy government gentry.
At first I thought maybe someone in government
actually lost their job.
But,I felt reassured the government only
looks after their own.

People have to practice to be this stupid.

greg, please note that the "contract workers" had the same access privileges to restricted files as "government employees". The only difference here is how they are hired and fired.

But since it's harder to fire career federal employees for blatant acts of stupidity than contract workers, I'm glad that contractors were the culprits here. They got the boot a lot faster.

Re, update:

"People have to practice to be this stupid."

That is all.

The Real Jeff;I know, nothing would have happened if they actually worked for the State Dept.
I watched the Congressional Hearings on the
Space Shuttle disaster. The guy at NASA admitted
those responsible who have been " removed from their
jobs" actually had be reassigned to other jobs.

And did that contracting company have links to the VRWC? Erm, no. Actually:

The CEO of a company whose employee is accused of improperly looking at the passport files of presidential candidates is a consultant to the Barack Obama campaign, a source said Saturday.

Analysis Corp. President John Brennan ... advises Barack Obama, a source tells CNN.

And, of course, they breached Hillary's and McCain's records too.

Oops.
