An Appropriately Named School Paper

At the school where she "taught"

CLINTON, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say a 23-year-old female middle school teacher was arrested Thursday, accused of having sex with five boys in locations including the school, at a motel, in a park and behind a restaurant.

the paper is "The Prowler Newsletter"...

Just what the fluctuation is going on with these women? I just don't get it. There have been (seemingly) so many cases of these women in their 20's schtupping 13 and 14 years olds. It completely baffles me.

Reliving their teen age years? Playing with boy toys? Only God knows, Mr. Bingley.

I just like the fact that you used the term "schtupping," 'cause there's not enough use of "schtupping" out in blogsville.

It is a sadly under-used word, Cullen!

Young students, the subject
Of schoolgirl fantasies
It's sad and disturbing
That schoolgirl's 23
It's knowledge, not morals
In master's ed. degrees
She's older, not wiser
Still stuck in puberty

Don't stand, don't stand so
Don't stand so close to teach...

The kids think they're lucky
They're schoolyard movie stars
Detentions, park benches
Or in the teacher's car
The boys brag, the word spreads
(You know how dumb boys get)
Suddenly, everyone
Wants to be teacher's pet

Don't stand, don't stand so
Don't stand so close to teach...

The rumors get vicious
Which kids are getting schtupped?
The parents, suspicious
They shake and call the cops
Small jail cell is waiting
She's going to the pen
Just like in that movie
With Helen Mirren in

Don't stand, don't stand so
Don't stand so close to teach...

(For the life of me I couldn't work a Prowler reference in there...)

To state the blatantly obvious, pedophiles are found in both sexes.

But for some reason, we don't seem to want to attribute that sort of nastiness to our women. And yeah, it might be every schoolboy's dream, but it's still an abuse of authority and trust.

A father might be OK with this if it were his son, but I doubt he'd be OK if it were his daughter. He'd probably be horrified and angry, just for starters.

So, what is the difference, really?

Pedophiles are found in both sexes, and there are porn addicts in both sexes. And that's no coincidence.

Just once I would like to see one of these stories followed up later with the offender's history of viewing pornography.

That's an excellent point, Judie. The porn industry has completely permeated our society and far too many women have bought into its standards; the most glaring recent example being Ms. Spears and her grooming habits, as well as her buddy Paris' "film noir" career.

The data you are seeking would be very, very interesting indeed.
