The Greatest Threat To World Peace Today

Is, of course Israel

...The aggressively photogenic John Edwards was cruising along, detailing his litany of liberal causes last week until, during question time, he invoked the "I" word -- Israel. Perhaps the greatest short-term threat to world peace, Edwards remarked, was the possibility that Israel would bomb Iran's nuclear facilities...

Makes you think he really was involved in hiring those two charming lasses.

This Peter Bart guy doesn't impress me much. Take his summation, for example:

Obama must at once enter the fray and stand above it. And his mentors, whoever they turn out to be, must remember that while Vietnam knocked the bad guys out of power, it delivered the nation to Richard Nixon.

Those must be terrific stilts to enter and stand above the same fray. I'm also not sure which bad guys Vietnam knocked from power - certainly not the Communists. In fact, I think Ford was in office when we completed the abandonment of Vietnam. It's much more accurate to say that Vietnam delivered the nation to Jimmy Carter.

I think Watergate gets much more blame for the Carter Presidency than does Viet Nam.

No such thing as standing above the fray. Everyone in the race, Democrat or Republican, is going to get a bloody nose. Wusses need not apply.

…and, just for some laughs…

The reason I call John Edwards "Breck Girl"…

GS, did you see that one posted during the 2004 campaign showing Bush and the Breck Girl side by side? High-larious.

Forgot the mention, the backpedaling is pretty quick and impressive. In a "WTF" sort of way.
