Where Was the Outrage on ESPN's "The Sports Reporters"

... ~ regarding Bryant Gumball's clever, blatant racism ~ this morning?

It wasn't. Not one word, pro OR con. I doubt the silence would have been quite so deafening had it been, like, a Terry Bradshaw who'd said it about blacks in the summer olympics, or the NBA or whatEVER.. They'd be sizing him for a Goodyear necktie two seconds later.

Only lack of spare time and severe ennui have kept me from photoshopping a movie poster for "Black Men Can't Skate".

Last night at dinner we were discussing that we doubted we'd hear Gumbel say that there were TOO MANY black athletes in the Summer Olympics. But he should. Were he to follow his "logic."

Oops, there I go giving someone way more credit than they deserve.

What does his white wife think about this sordid PAUCITY? PAUCITY. I'm going to use that with a really affected tone in a sentence tomorrow.

He married a white woman? I always thought that was a stereotype.

Well! Now we can really tell Mr. Gumbel to STFU.
