Mr. Bingley

On this day in the...mid 1960's...he first began scoffing at the world.

Little has changed since. Only now more people know about it.

Happy Birthday. Have a drink.

What a handsome, well dressed lad.

One can tell that it's you, Bings. Even at twelve you're thinking, "Geez, this is boring - someone pour me a beer."

I was going to comment on the, ummmmm, tasteful plaid shirt in that photo, Mr.Bingley. But after reading your comment, I'll just leave it at, "Happy Birthday, Dude!"

Happy, Happy. Have a day, Mr Bingley.

tasteful plaid shirt in that photo
Don't ever let your children wear one, JeffS. They lead to kilts.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday.

Mr. Bingley, when I read this blog post, I almost had a heart attack. The key words were "drinking" and "love child". But then I realized that you live in New Jersey, not Massachussetts,, and that you reached legal drinking age long ago.

Whew!!

Happy Birthday pencil neck!

Nope. Not our mother's maiden name.

Teddy...took up with Caroline Dilodeau...

Posted by: tree hugging sister at January 18, 2006 10:58 AM

Eww, that would be nasty, Jeff!

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at January 18, 2006 10:59 AM

Geeze, that mug brings back memories. Golly, can't wait for my birthday to roll around....(rolls eyes)

Once in a while, it actually pays to be the big sister, little man.

Posted by: tree hugging sister at January 18, 2006 11:05 AM

Happy B-day, Bing. Have something red.

Posted by: Cullen at January 18, 2006 11:12 AM

Yes, Mr. Bingley, that would be nasty! That's why I almost had a heart attack.

Imagine the headlines: "Ted Kennedy's Long Lost Love Child Styles Himself King", with the lead paragraph starting, "Mr. Bingley met this reporter at the appointed hour in a bar near his home, and was instantly the center of attention, thanks to the authentic Scottish kilts he wore....."

Thank God this is largely untrue.

Happy B-day kid!

Largely? Largely? The only untrue part is the "Ted Kennedy's Long Lost Love Child " bit...

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at January 18, 2006 11:50 AM

Happy Birthday, Mr. Bingley! I'll raise a pint for you!

(Not that I really needed an excuse...)

Posted by: That 1 Guy at January 18, 2006 11:54 AM

Eh? I was thinking about the "center of attention" part.

Oh, well! Happy Birthday anyway!

Happy Birthday and I second Cullens taste in Birthday gifts.

Happy Birthday, Mr. B!

Have a beer on me, and as my present I promise to buy more coffee than usual tomorrow, it being my day off and all.
