Note to Kraut and Cullen

It's looking like you should get whatever you need at the mall NOW.

Oh yeah. Been all over that. We're still waiting on "official word," but they said "The official word won't be coming out 'til 1730, but it's 90 percent certain."

Whatever.

I live on the other side of town and only come over here for work. It's gonna be a bit of a bear, getting on and off base but it'll be all right. The last crew didn't get to leave base at all, they had to make use of our meager facilities. I hope they get to get out a little this time.

We will be praying this thing fizzles out. It looks bad for us too. If it tracks east up through Alabama and up to Atlanta, we could have some serious flooding issues down here.

In 1994, a tropical storm stalled over Atlanta for 21 days. Our local river, the Flint begins at the Atlanta airport. We had tad shy of a 500 year flood.

So we do not want wind and flood for you and we dont want flood for us.

Major Dad's stuck, as you can imagine. Even though Friday's steak night by tradition, I'm thinkin' it's cheeseburgers tonight. I'm pooped from hauling water, gas and propane into the garage. Glad I got it done though, 'cause it's gridlock at the WalMart.

Are these guys still coming? Katrina took a wicked swing west.

Yup. I passed the charter busses on their way to base an hour ago. That path swing to the west has swung back east a smidge. Blech.

Nope. Hold that. They're waiting to get a better picture.
