Mark Steyn on "Live8"

I really don't need to say anything else, do I?

Steyn: The system that enriched them could enrich Africa. But capitalism's the one cause the poseurs never speak up for. The rockers demand we give our fokkin' money to African dictators to manage, while they give their fokkin' money to Winthrop Stimson Putnam & Roberts to manage. Which of those models makes more sense?

I dig, I dig... Or in other words, do as they do, not as they sing. As for Africa, as terrible as it sounds, the thing that might do them the most good is to have a Napoleon: they need to be conquered. Someone who actually can govern a country needs to take over for a while.

And I thought I was the only jaded one who was not enthralled by the "event".
Very few caught the irony of Madonna a few weeks ago. She did a reading of her new kid's book about the richest man who loses it all and becomes happy. Where did she do this...Bergdorf's.
