...with those sizzling lambs last night. Makes the guilt easier to bear.

Merlot?!?

Tonight I will be mostly drinking a Seghesio Sonoma County Zinfandel.. *slurp*

Mmmm.

I'm with Pete on this: I hate Merlot. Merlot tastes like red wine for people who don't like red wine.

I do tend to avoid buying pure merlot.. it just doesn't do a lot for me.. but, in saying that, I do have a couple of bottles hanging around.. and later I'll, probably, finish off the half bottle that's sitting here on the side-shelf.. once the Zinfandel's empty.

Oh I don't mind merlot, but I am much more of a zin/shiraz-ophile. I will look for this one, sis.

You guys saw Sideways, too? Sheesh, so lighten up, Francis. We're equal opportunity imbibers here. And have a very soft spot for Rombauer, Grgich and Duckhorn Cabs. (oh yeah, and the old etched bottle of Kenwood Jack London) Those were the very first better vinos we were introduced to, once we could afford to step up from the Parducci's and Louis Martini's. So when I see one of those labels, which are still relatively rare in our neck of the woods, I wax nostalgic, then grab and we enjoy. And Dave, that was kinda harsh, doncha think? I tend to believe that Riunite is red wine for people who don't like red wine.

Major Dad adds: Come on people, that was supposed to have been a cheeseburger bottle anyway. Cheeseburgers are for people who like beef, right?

Actually no, I din't see Sideways. I didn't look particularly interesting and I certainly didn't get what all the hype was about.

Whether cheeseburgers are for people who like beef depends on how long they're cooked. Medium rare is best. Anything more than medium is missing the point. IMNSHO, of course. ;-)

Weird that, Dave. Neither did we, once we saw it. No one struck me as a particularly agreeable character, except Virginia Madsen. And she was more sad than agreeable.

Anything more than medium is missing the point

And anything less than well done in N.C. is patently illegal. BASTARDS!!
