What I'm Drinking Tonight
Very yum. Has a full, velvety feel, loaded with fruit and cassis. The 20% petite sirah adds some nice tannins to this very potent beauty: we're talking 15.9% alcohol! It will be very nice with the filets that daughter has requested.

I fully endorse this choice. Sounds dee-liteful and a shame the micro-unit cannot share it's yumminess with her filets. We are having shrimps on the barbie, mango salsa and Zatarain's Caribbean rice. We shall be imbibing the 2 bottles of Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc that are cooling in the fridge. The pineapple overtones will dovetail nicely with the fresh fruits on the plate.

Daughter has insisted on cajun filets this evening.

Now you point to the Zinfandel! although that 15.9% sounds a little too heavy..

I see "California" on the label. Excellent choice.

15.9 means Looped City pete, Looped City.

Really the only Californians I drink these days are the zins from ridge and ravenswood and cabs from Stags leap; the rest of the stuff is just too darn expensive for the consumption levels I prefer. So i drink mostly Australian wine, as the quality can not be beat for the price. Sure Chile has good wines, but a) I mostly drink Shiraz and Zin these days, which rules Chile out, and b) I want to give my dollars to countries that firmly support the WOT (which is also a strike against California...).

Alcohol? This is safe for human consumption? I seem to have vague memories of such drink.....
