Totally uninspired today, so I will leave you to contemplate the glory that was the Battlecruiser.

Glorious yes, but the battlecruiser concept was certainly Fisher's greatest blunder. He appeared to believe that nobody else would build any, and not even Jutland dented his insane belief in the primacy of speed over armor.

True, Steve, but gosh they were gorgeous to look at. The forums on that site have got some pretty neat discussions on magazine explosions, like the ones that doomed so many at Jutland.
