"We must all make sacrifices and we must all be willing to make unpopular choices," Holder said in prepared remarks.

"What do you mean 'we' Yankee?" replied Europe while stifling bouts of laughter.

Gallows for all.

Problem solved.

The United States and its allies must make sacrifices to close the Guantanamo Bay detention center, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday in a high-profile appeal for Europe's help.

Obama doing his jive talk in Europe wasn't good enough to get ANYTHING, Holder, WTF makes you think you'll do better?

What an arrogant a$$.

President Bush made a big mistake putting those people in Guantanamo. What did he think was going to happen? Could he keep them forever?
Now they are probably going to get a million dollars each and get government jobs in Iowa. Why didn't he leave them in Iraq or Iran. Why bring the
scum to us!
John Walker Lind should be released, also. He never fired his rifle and joined the Taliban while they were still our allies.Let's not forget that.
Bush was a frigging idiot.Rich, spoiled little
fake patriot.Obama isn't much better,but I think
there's still a chance he might come around.Bush
was a total waste, worst President in history. And
I voted for him.

The Taliban were never our allies. What in the blue hell are you smoking?

And you voted for Obama as well, yes?

Greg is showing either that he isn't very careful in typing up his comments (which I hope is the case) or he is ignorant enough to think that we were ever in control in Iran. (Psst, hey Greg, the Taliban were in Afghanistan and Pakistan.)

Lind should be executed for treason.

"Holder urges allies to take share of detainees." ... and these would be the same allies that the President has been pissing off for three months, right?

We really should start calling him "D'ohbama".

I hear Rahm's basement digs has a spare couch...

John Walker Lind joined the Taliban before Sept 11th.Before that date they were not our enemies.
Just as Jewish Americans join the Israeli army.
It is not a crime to fight for a foreign government.
Otherwise, many Jews would be guilty of treason.
Or is that too political incorrect?

Posted by: greg newson at April 30, 2009 11:29 PM

The US gave money and weapons to them to fight the
Russians. They were still in with them up until Sept
11th.What is an enemy?? How many people in the US
did they kill? The question of Sept 11th is still
open for discussion.
John Walker Lind was picked out because he was born and raised in the USA.His prosecution violates
the equal protection clause of the Constitution.
If he had been born in Afganistan he'd be free.

Sklyler-Didn't Bush say all the Taliban were invading Iraq from other countries and causing all
the problems? The poor Iraqi people were overwhelmed by them.We just needed to kill the foreign invaders and Iraq would be like the Garden
of Eden. But, news only lasts 10 days now.
I remember, the BS of 5000 dead and 50 thousand maimed for a frigging lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Note: "Getting away with Murder" By John d Mahoney,
former secretary of state of Arizona. Page 208:
June 2001, President Bush gave 43 million dollars to the Taliban for drug enforcement,in hopes of a pipeline deal for natural gas. That was the same month John Walker Lindh joined the Taliban.
I'm on your side, the government isn't.They don't care about you or me.It's them versus us.I guess you have a secure government job that is backed up by the police. So there's no hope for you.Take your
disability payments and laugh at us stupid private
Americans who go to work every day.
