Told Ya

He should've stayed home.

President Obama is holding a solo press conference Thursday afternoon in London to shape the message coming out of the G20 summit, as he appears to be losing ground on economic policy among traditional allies.

...[world] Obama appears to be struggling to hold the gavel and drive the policy debate.

White House aides told FOX News the president is holding a solo press conference to drive his own message and give foreign reporters access -- which keeps Obama and his global policy platform visible around the world. The rest of the G20 nations are holding a separate news conference prior to the president's.

It's lonely for a newbie out there...

The problem with being the product of a cult of personality is that sometimes you believe your own press. B. Hussein really does think that he is brilliant, and that everyone loves him. He won, after all.

But the reality is that people who really are smart and have experience at governing know that he is a naif and are running right over him. They aren't bound to recognize the cult.

What he needs is some adult supervision, and I don't think TOTUS will provide it.

I'm surprised the president of Germany and the president of (say) the Czech Republic didn't go to him and say, "Yeah....there's this press conference tomorrow, we want you to show up. Oh, and you need to wear a rabbit costume. Everyone's going to be wearing rabbit costumes."

And of course, none of them show up, in costume or not. It's an old joke but still a good one.

If rabbits were polling in the high 60's, he might even go for it...

Obama should hand out iPods at the presser as a door prize. I'm sure that the media would appreciate the same audio selection he gave Her Majesty.

I think Obama should loan his own iPod with the scrolling text of the speeches he's about to give - less conspicuous than the full-size teleprompter, and he can keep it in his hand and peek at his palms occasionally while looking studious. (In other words, like every exam he took in law school.)

Well, heck, nightfly, the current iPod plays video. All they need do is load the videos of The Won™ speaking, hook the output to an iPod ready monitor, and then sit back to enjoy the show.

Obama can stand outside, signing autographs.

Which, come to think of it, that the TOTUS may become obsolete, or at least fall to #2 position for prestige and importance. TOTUS will be still be needed for the occasional original speech, should The Won™ deign to give them, but iPOTUS will be #1.

ALL HAIL iPOTUS!!!!!

The guy who was going to "repair our tattered image across the world" can't even join the other world leaders in a press conference.

Obama is eclipsing Carter and breathing down the neck of Buchanan as Worst President ever.

"iPOTUS." HAHAHAHAHAHA! Five points, Jeff.
