If I Say It and I'm On TV

...it MUST be true!

...[Mexican Ambassador] Sarukhan has claimed that Mexico seizes 2,000 guns a day from the United States, or 730,000 a year.

But the official statistic from the Mexico attorney general's office says Mexico seized 29,000 weapons in all of 2007 and 2008.

Facts?!? We don't need no steakin' facts!!

And that pinche abogado generale? Hasta la vista...

Hmmmmmm..... 730000/29000 = 25.1724137931

That's the official MINIMUM bulls**t factor to be applied to all statistics referring to all Mexican claims about border problems.

Conceivably they have a cycle where they seize and give back the same guns over and over again. Then they could seize 2000 guns a day while only seizing 29,000 distinct weapons over the course of 2 years.

I'm writing a 25 page paper on that topic for my law school writing requirement.
