As the Weeping Grandfather in "Moonstruck" Says

"I'm confused!"
Isn't this quote today...
Obama: Economic crisis 'not as bad as we think'
...from the same prophet who said this...
In his first prime-time news conference, U.S. President Barack Obama called this "the winter of America's hardship."

Fresh off a daylong visit to a town in the state of Indiana that has been devastated by job losses, Obama said the country is in a "full blown crisis" and warned if Congress doesn't pass his economic plan immediately, the results could be catastrophic.

...just 3 weeks ago? (What? We're better already? Strange. Why do I feel so bad, then?)

Or...is our Prezzy O a prankster, like the punk who yells "PSYCHE!" outside the girl's locker room...after pulling the fire alarm?

I'm tired.

It is scary how this new administration can be so clueless and floundering. It's like being on board the sinking Titanic, racing to the command deck only to find out that the ship's captain is Daffy Duck.

Ah, yes... the inevitable result of having nothing but "message" and no substance to communicate. The guy's "strength" is speaking, so he talks with nothing to say. The message is whatever they feel will poll best. He may as well go up there and render a confident reading of Jabberwocky. (Possible drawback: he'll think the vorpal blade is a real weapon and order an invasion of Bandersnatchany.)

He also pointed that things "two years ago" were worse--naturally, when he was not President. That's convenient.

I'm beginning to think it's the Clinton era all over again. And here I thought my parents were stressed out back then because they were raising three teenagers!

More like the Carter era, Kate. On steroids. If you weren't around then, count yourself lucky. At least Clinton didn't torture the entire country with his malaise AND narcissism every time he jabbered on the boob tube. Just his narcissism.

Sis, if you're tired, may I suggest having a drink? I know that you're trying to be moderate, but everyone will understand. ;-p

And now Obama says the economy is causing many incredible pain.

This nitwit makes Kerry look steadfast on issues.

JeffS, I was a baby when Carter took office, but I bet that rings a bell with Mom & Dad.
