Glory Days ~ ANOTHER "Mistake" ?!?!?!

From a guy who, ya'd think, SHOULD BE "MISTAKE" proof, with all his years doing what he does. All his years being a "man o' the people" AND an OUTSPOKEN advocate for those same "people". A "MISTAKE" that ~ coincidentally ~ concerns the garnering of a shitpot of buckaroos. Imagine that.

The Boss is owning up to a mistake.

In an interview with The New York Times, Bruce Springsteen says he shouldn’t have made a deal with Wal-Mart. This month, the store started exclusively selling a Springsteen greatest-hits CD.

"Mistake", my tax paying, blue collar ass. And damned if it 'was only discovered after the nomination for Secretary of the Treasury Health and Human Sevices the contracts were all signed and the CDs shipped. HOW inconvenient that the "mistake" money flow cannot be dammed. Damn.

Give the filthy WalMart "mistake" money to charity, a WalMart employee health fund ~ to TARP, why doncha ~ and I might think about ceasing the massive, disgusted snorts emanating from my flared nostrils, à la any of your repetitive, clenched teeth performance induced poses.

As for you and the SoopahBo: I will be tuned to Animal Planet's Kitten Half Time Show, where the mewling "p-words" on stage will have honestly been born to run.

That last sentence was masterful. Work has scheduled me for Sunday evening--I guess I've been spared. Although I would like to see the kittens!

I wish the asshole would just move to Berkeley and stop identifying himself as being from New Jersey.

I, too, will be watching the kittens on Animal Planet instead of the individual who used to claim the title of Boss.

Of course, I don't give a flip about either of the teams in the Shtuper Bowl this year, so I'll be watching the puppies on Animal Planet as well.

But gah. Springsteen, if he hadn't already, has jumped the shark with this comment. Hint, Bruce: when you have more money than God, it is unbecoming to complain that you "really should have" turned some of it down because of "principles" that most Americans will roll their eyes over.

I always thought the "Boss" was way overrated and was an East Coast media hype product. Bob Seger was better and more authentic in my opinion.

I hope WalMart sues his ass so hard that he actually has to get a real job.

Meh, another hypocritical leftie. They hates money whiles they rakes in the cash.

I used to hang with him before he became famous. He was a nice guy. First album came out and he jumped on the asshole express. Just endured him at half time, because my wife is a fan of his, I have to give him five points for not mentioning The One during his performance. He still sucks, though.

not mentioning The One

No shit, he didn't, did he? But, then again, as mush-mouthed and squinty eyed as he is, I probably wouldn't have understood him anyway. I know all the words to "Born to Run" by heart (so I can recite their unsuitabilty every time it gets nominated as New Jersey's state song) and I swear to GOD, I had no f@ckin' clue what that idiot was singing when they played it tonight. Recognized the riff, couldn't translate the mumbo jumbo.

And Dave, he didn't say he WASN'T taking the money, just said it was a "mistake". No need for WalMart to get testy.
