Getting Exposed To Nature

This is not quite what I had in mind

A local Swiss government plans to take action against a sudden and apparently unwelcome phenomenon - naked hikers.

Authorities in the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden plan to introduce fines for anyone found walking in the picturesque mountain region without any clothes.

They decided to act before this year's hiking season began, after noticing a sudden influx of nudists last year - many of them from Germany.

"FKK", or "free body culture", is a popular pastime in Germany.

It's stories like this that remind me that the Europeans are indeed our Betters in so many ways.

High on a hill was a lonely goatherd
Lay ee odl lay ee odl lay hee hoo
Loud was the voice of the lonely goatherd
Lay ee odl lay ee odl-oo...

Haven't heard that song in a while.

(and now I have the image of a naked Julie Andrews dancing and singing through the Austrian Alps)

Well, that's something to get you through the weekend...

A lonely goatherd? Isn't that song about someone we all know? Not you, another blogger, I mean. I just can't quite remember the name......

You say that like it's a bad thing.

It's not. Trust me on that. I saw her boobs in S.O.B.

And they were good. The movie wasn't, but Julie's boobs were.

I can't say S.O.B. was a bad movie, Ken. I saw it at the theater and it had moments. Larry Storch was a scream. It was loaded with inside jokes that only a handful of people could get and that bothered me. It should have come with a glossary like Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels did. And, hell yeah, I can think of things way worse than stumbling across Julie Andrews walking naked in the woods.

Well, I wouldn't say S.O.B. was a bad movie either, Rob, just not up to Blake Edwards's (and Julie's) standards. Not good, but not bad, just so-so.

But Julie's boobs rock, and stumbling across Julie walking naked in the woods is a long-standing dream of mine...

I liked S.O.B.

I've been a fan of Richard Mulligan since "Soap". Ms. Andrews going topless was the icing on the cake.
