There's Really Nothing Else To Say

I'm very glad that no one was killed in that plane crash in Denver. My god, what a horrifying experience that must have been.

But I have to admit, naughty person that I am, I laughed when I read this

"We were going down the runway and it was just ... It was like we were in the air and then we weren't."

You will never read a finer summation of an aviation accident.

Fall down, go boom?

Classic comment from the report of a WWII pilot who damaged the landing gear of a fighter during landing practice:

"Wings are too heavy."

For someone who is so terrified to fly, as I am, I do a freaking LOT of it and, as it turns out, I flew into Denver twice less than a month ago. So, this thing in the news about the crash in Denver...well, Mama grew some new gray hairs in the past couple of days, that's for shit sure. It's amazing, I once even survived a trans-Atlantic flight without going completely bonkers, but it's gotten to a point where I can't fly without being properly intoxicated.
