Here We Go

WASHINGTON (AP) - By claiming that Democrat Barack Obama is "palling around with terrorists" and doesn't see the U.S. like other Americans, vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin targeted key goals for a faltering campaign.

And though she may have scored a political hit each time, her attack was unsubstantiated and carried a racially tinged subtext that John McCain himself may come to regret.

William Ayers: unrepentant domestic terrorist

Obama: Ayers associate on numerous projects, possibly dating back as far as 1985.

What's "unsubstantiated"? Maybe that word does not mean what the AP thinks it means.

Jake Tapper said the Obama camp would be premptively attacking, but he didn't say the Associated Press would do it for him.

Of course, it's not just them starting. The Atlantic attempted to put up an Obama defense...

In response to Gov. Sarah Palin's invocation of Barack Obama's "terrorist" "pal" William Ayers, Democrats have settled on a rhetorical response that inquires, innocently enough, whether Todd Palin's association with anti-American secessionists is fair game, especially in light of Palin's charge that Obama "is not a man who sees America as you and I do."

Todd Palin, a former member of the Alaska Independence Party, might well have seen America unlike his wife did -- that is, an America that one can secede from. He was comfortable belonging to and being associated with a political party whose founder seemed to delight in denouncing the principles that hold our union together.

Can somebody get Todd Palin's firebombing domestic terrorist mugshots for me? I couldn't find one.

Weird. I mean, that such an august entity is comparing the two. There HAS to be...something.

The AIP is a bit loony, but they've been a mainstay of Alaska politics as the state's largest third party for decades. Having eccentric political views is not in the remotest way analogous to being an unrepentant terrorist and murderer: the former is about one's ideas, while the latter is about one's ACTIONS. If it came out that John McCain visited Tim McVeigh in prison to chat, the MSM would rip him a new one and rightly so. There is NO difference between Ayers and McVeigh, except for the media's adoration and excuses for anything of the 60's "anti-war" Left.

Meh. This is of no surprise, since it comes from the Associated "With Terrorists" Press.

Their premptive charge ISN'T answering the questions or debunking the supposed untruths, it's flinging "Racism!" from the get go. What an a$$hole.

I think it's time for McCain/Palin and every, single rational American to throw the bullshit flag and often. Every SINGLE time, someone needs to address the inanity of racism charges for simply questioning ANYTHING about NObama, while they crawl up Palin a$$ with a microphone and video camera ~ and float spurious rumors/postulations about McCain in the hopes something will stick ~ with impunity.

Schmaybe we could turn THAT into it's own version of a racist attack. You know: they're always goin' after the white folks, but the half-black guy gets a pass.

As the one fellow over on Instapundit said:

Douglass Daniel accuses Sarah Palin of racism for tying Barack Obama to two white guys.

Dear God, it's beyond pitiful. And they've cheapened "racist" past any semblance of legitimate censure.

As far as I know the Weathermen never killed anyone.
A bomb exploded killing several of their own members,
while it was being assembled.I guess that would make any member of the Weathermen a murderer in legal- speak. It is noteworthy they were mostly from rich
East coast families. And Ayers was appointed by Daly
to a board. If they were poor kids, they would still
be rotting in jail. But,the rich, scum or good, always
survive in this wretched society.
