Aw, Man

If I may...

I'd like to say something....Just to get it out there so it is clear.
To all the pampered and protected Americans who feel it is their duty to inform me that I am not fighting for their freedom, and that i am a pawn in Bush's agenda of greed and oil acquisition: Noted, and [expletive deleted] You.

Army Specialist Steve Fortunato wrote that. His mom shared it...because he couldn't.
According to BostonHerald.com: "He was killed on his first day back on patrol after a 19-day leave in Massachusetts. Fortunato was in the 26th Infantry Regiment and served as a gunner in back of a Humvee. He had served in Afghanistan since July."

God bless him. And hold his family close in this time of unspeakable pain.

We thank you with all our hearts, soldier.

And thanks to Steve for letting us know.

RIP. God bless him and his family.

And from this pampered, spoiled American (and I openly admit it), I'm grateful there are guys (and women) willing to go out and fight so that I and others like me will be safe from dhimmitude, burqas, and public stonings in my own country.

There's is not to reason why
There's is but to do and die.
I know they are fighting for you and me.
That's what makes me even sadder.Their love
for this nation is greater than those we
elect to run it.
In the city I live in,a soldier(born and raised here) received a
Congressional medal of honor(posthumously)for
jumping on a hand grenade in Viet Nam.He is only
one of two from Northern California to receive
the award.Every year on the anniversary of his
death I call my Congress person,Senator and state
representatives requesting some mention in the
news or such.Only my state assemblyman ever
responded and said" You should take that matter up
on the Federal level"
I never served,so I'm trying to do my part now.
God Bless
