How Vile
It's really been amazing these past few days watching how deep in to the gutter some of the left blogs have gone; it shows just how deeply they fear Palin's candidacy, it seems to me. Or that they are just really hateful, bitter people. Maybe both.
I mean, look how viciously they have attacked her 17 year old daughter, for god's sake. Disgusting. Althouse has a good word for it: "Palinsanity." Tim shows Sullivan is afflicted as are many others.
I can't see how they expect this sort of spittle-laced misogyny will actually help Obama.

Every time I think of how awesome a Thompson/Palin would've been I have to lie down. Can you imagine?!

Thompson was a dream that didn't live up to itself. He is the classic empty suit. Looks good, says nice platitudes, but doesn't have what it takes to get the job.
If he were in the job, I'd be plenty happy because I don't like active people in government but reality is that if you want that kind of job you need to work for it.
I hope Palin lives up to her hype. As a marathon runner I suspect she'll have the energy to campaign. I just dread an attack and Quayle-like response.
