why the mixup on the date? Is it 20 or 19 years? Or does that first year of captivity not count? :-)

Congratulations, B! Who knew you could afford to keep her liquored up for so many years?

Congrats, Bing and Bride!

Ken, I suspect that Mr. B piles the drink and food on thick in front NJ Sue. What else could it be?

(with apologies to Sgt. Pepper)

It was twenty years ago next year
that Bingley made his Bride his career
they'd been dating for a little while
his poor bride; it was such a trial
plied with gin until she said "i do"
(her waking up is what he fears!)
Bingley's Bride's the finest in the land!

Bingley's Bride's the finest in the land
I thought that I should let you know
Bingley's Bride's the finest in the land
The heavens have declared it so
Bingley's Bride's the finest
Bingley's Bride's the finest
Bingley's Bride's the finest in the land

She's beautiful and charming
she laughs at my bad puns
we sit and drink our wine at night
there's never been a finer sight
my love, my wine at night!

I could go on and on for several days
but your eyes i know would start to glaze
so let me end by saying this:
with my Bride my life is total bliss.
so join with me and raise your beer
and give my bride a rousing cheer:
Bingley's Bride's the finest in the land

Thank you, sweetheart.

I read the blogs today, oh boy
Bingley's Bride's the finest in the land
A crowd of people said "hurray"
But I just had to gasp
I've seen his photograph

They're married nineteen years today
We'd like to wish them a few dozens more
A crowd of people wish them well
They just keep going on
Nobody was really sure
But Bingley might have paid them off...

Happy anniversary!!!

That image must be the answer to that staged photo of the groom trying to escape out the sacristy window.

Happy 19th Anniversary to my darling sister and my incomparable bother-in law! Love you both and wish you many, many happy more years...

Posted by: Ave at August 12, 2008 04:01 PM

I am so eTERNALLY delighted that NJSue's horrible lapse in judgment and miserable bad luck resulted in my being able to boast the BESTEST of all sister-in-laws as MINE! It completely makes up for Bingley being Bingley and is the smartest move he's ever made. Happiest of happys and all our love!

Oh, most excellent, 'Fly! And sadly for you, you've seen the real McCoy, and not just a mere photo.

Good thing extensive therapy is covered by the health plan.

Thanks everyone!

Well, congrats to you both. It's a wonderful thing.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the LORD. Proverbs 18:22.

Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Bingley on your 19th, and may you have many more to come.
