Channeling Han Solo
I am, after all, a simple man. It would seem to me that if you are a guy who's been married for 48 years and your wife is "totally devastated" because you've been caught on film in an S&M orgy with some prostitutes and you can think of "nothing more undignified or humiliating" for your two sons to experience that maybe, just maybe the blame and responsibility for these troubled times in your family lies with the fellow you see staring back at you every morning when you shave.

I see your point about his blame-shifting, Bingley, but I hate to say I get an "open marriage" vibe from a lot of European celebrity couples. Using the term "celebrity" loosely. So I wonder if it was more a matter of, "O.K., honey, just don't get caught."
Doesn't make it any less whacked IMO.

I don't have much sympathy for the guy but he ought to appeal the damages. £60,000 is a pittance for the damage this caused him.

Am I reading this right in that the point challenged wasn't the orgies, but that they were Nazi-themed orgies. I heard on NPR that he only spoke German out of courtesy to his German prostitute. I may be a skank, but I'm not a Nazi skank? Achte meine Gute!
I agree with Mr. Bingley and the Nightfly. Thank God I have no money. It cuts down on the things I need to worry about.

60,000 quid for damages because some one said you were involved in a Nazi-themed orgy with 5 prostitutes when in fact it was simply an orgy with 5 prostitutes where some orders were issued in German? From what I can read of the decision that seems to be what the damages are for; he's more than justly compensated. The scumbag.

I don't know why Mosely has a problem being associated with Nazis, even excluding his father's history. A lot of people like hot chicks in tight, black leather Nazi uniforms.
Not that I would hire hookers to sing "Deutschland Über Alles" or anything like that. Even if I had the money. ;-P
