I can't imagine what this poor girl's parents must think about this
MADISON, Wis. — A college student apparently called 911 from her cell phone shortly before she was killed but a dispatcher hung up, failed to call back and never sent police to investigate, authorities said Thursday.Madison Police Chief Noble Wray said it was too early to know whether a better response could have prevented the April 2 slaying of Wisconsin-Madison student Brittany Zimmermann or helped police capture her killer.
Authorities refused to release the content of the phone call, but Wray said it should have been enough for the Dane County 911 Center to take it seriously.

What is with 911 lately? There was the case of the kid whose mother died and he was something like 4 or 5 and called 911 only to be ignored... Now this.
Geeze - forget 911 - take steps to keep yourself safe... It seems to be the only thing a person can do lately. Apparently it's too much trouble for them to do the job anymore. As citizens we might want to look into value for service and determine what we are getting for our money.
