"These killings are shameful and distressing to our society," he added.
...Kikwete blamed charlatan witchdoctors, many masquerading as traditional healers, for extracting body parts such as genitals, tongues and breasts.

Dr. Tom Dooley,famous in the fifties, always
had the witch doctors in Laos and Cambodia enter
the hut of sick people with him while he treated
sick peasants.That way the people were reassured and
his personal safety(ala getting killed)was guaranteed.
