“That Global Warming Is the Biggest Joke I’ve Ever Known,”

“[W]e’ll stick a dadgum tree up somebody’s rear if they want that and think that’s going to cure something.”
You tell 'em, Pops.

Personally, I think hand lettered "TIME Infidels Must DIE!! TIME to Behead Infidels!!" placard is called for ~ or WOULD be, if...you know...I was the excitable type.

He makes me so proud to share the title "Marine."

So I guess the lesson to be learned is that the way to defeat Global Warming is to ... nuke it?

Ah, me, too, Skyler. What a hoot these old guys are! Just freakin' GREAT!

It gets cold then, right, Ken?

The only parody of the flag raising on Iwo Jima that I think was worth a damn was a poster I got in 1980. It was a takeoff on that pic, only they were planting the pole you know where in Khomeini.

Ken-Haha. It's a good point, but I have not done the math on if "Nuclear Winter" would cancel out "Global Warming" (/sarcasm). I will bet that the same gits who were hysterical about Nuclear Winter then are the same ones who are hysterical about Global Warming now. Which ought to tell people something.

I went to see "The Forbidden Kingdom" today. Prior to the previews and the main feature they were running this program called "Go Green".

It was so chock full of Goreacle horseshit propaganda I had to leave the theater until it was over.

(BTW, The Forbidden Kingdom was worth the seven bucks I paid.)

That cover doesn't even make sense from an art perspective. It's as if they used a computer program to replace a tree anywhere a straight line stood in a number of famous pictures. . . and *that* was the winner? Sad. I'm so glad I took one look at the goofball they asked to speak at career day in high school and decided not to become a commercial artist.

I prefer this version myself. I suspect that Marines might look up upon it more favorably as well.

And you're not excitable, Sis? Since when?

Posted by: The_Real_JeffS at April 19, 2008 12:12 AM

This isn't even original. Algore's crackpot "WE CAN" outfit has been running those mofo "We didn't wait" ads likening "climate change" to landing on Normandy. Since I wasn't around on Friday, I'll say it here and now, fuck the fuck off to all that noise.

And Semper Fi, Marines. I really liked the one guy in the article who called the cover "a mortal sin." "Whoever did this is going to hell."
