...In a recent interview, Reid said that he's "not going to be part of dumping" Byrd because"there are many days his mind is perfect."
...where it hasn't been.

Implying, of course, that there are many days when his mind is NOT perfect. This begs the question as to which "many" is the bigger number.
I suspect that the "not perfect" days outnumber the "perfect" days. By a wide margin.
