Quote of the Day

...Well, choosing someone to offer your family spiritual guidance that isn't an anti-semite coddling, America-hating, race-baiting crazypants would appear to be a far easier decision than deciding whether to go to war.

The man has been in elected office for many years. Why do we only learn of this now?

Because all Chicago/Illinois politics are local and who cares, right?

But now he's gone national. And inquiring minds want to know.

The crap that we are just now hearing about now is standard fare in Chicago/Iliinois politics. I mind me one alderman who was re-elected to the Chicago city council while he served time in the Cook County jail.

And don't get me started on the feeding frenzy immediately following then-Mayor Washington's death....starting with the fact that his staff suppressed the news locally. No one had a clue until some radio station in the Southwest called one of the larger Chicago stations and asked about it. It was on the national wires, not local. Things went downhill from there.

And I lived in that urban madhouse for less than 5 years.

So I'm in no way surprised to hear The Messiah™ is dirty. In Illinois, all politics are dirty.
