Obama's Pastor

I have of course read some of the things this fellow said, but until I saw this post at Ace's I hadn't had the pleasure of actually hearing him.

Obama's been going there for 20 years, but he never heard him "preach" like this?

Uh huh.

That's probably part of where Obama's wife gets her America hatred.

The most important thing for the leaders of today should be the people that they will be consequently leading. Their welfare should be the prime most concern. But saddly enogh, they are the first points on the agenda that are disposed off to the last slots.

Wright's own chickens have come home to roost.

Hi nancy!

I certainly would leave my church if the minister got anywhere near as political, let alone as hateful, as Rev. Wright.

Hey there,
I know, I would too.
I saw him interviewed last night.
By his comments, he leans on secular writing as if it is gospel, and scripture is the secondary source.
Also, noting the enthusiasim of the congregation, Wright's remarks weren't spoken in a closet.
Obama knew.

Have a good one :)

Aw heck yeah.

You can't tell me that in nearly 20 years he missed some of these gems?

At my church we have pew pads where everyone records their attendance; I wonder if O's church has them and they are being checked?

Although to be fair I have to admit the audience didn't seem too thrilled when he started the "god damn America" bit.

As Sister Toldjah noted, this is like Billy Jeff claiming he never inhaled.

Uh huh.

I've heard the audio, and I understand the videos have shots of the congregation. If this is true, who wants to bet that Hillary's camp has video of Obama in the pew during one of these classics?

If he attends with the diligence of the typical parishioner in the typical mainline congregation, he may just have missed the fun stuff. Or he may have known just as well about the cameras as he did about the message, and decided to stay in the further recesses of the crowd.
