Caroline Glick On Obama

Some very keen observations on his character.

(thanks to Crusader for alerting me to this)

Is it just me, or do we face especially poor choices among the major parties this year?

None of the 3 excite me at all in a positive sense. I'm with you, bill.

If you'd asked me a year ago, I would have never thought that Hillary might actually be the least objectionable.

At least with her you know the sleaze you are getting, and I have no doubt that if someone needed to be attacked she could do it; in fact she'd probably over do it. While her 'experience' is not much better than Obama's and consists mainly of riding her husband's coattails (something which the feminists conveniently ignore and amuses me to no end) she at least is intimately familiar with how the Executive Branch works.

Prior to this whole "Wright Stuff" I was willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt and think that maybe in 4 years he might be Presidential material. What has always bothered me about him was that at this point he's never so much as led a boy scout troop and it's unconscionable to me to consider putting him in the White House with such a complete blank of a resume.

McCain is stained by Keating 5 and his stance on immigration.

I'm not happy with any of them.

If I agreed with him on more political issues, I'd be willing to overlook Obama's thin resume. Lincoln, after all, didn't have much experience. I've known about this Wright thing for a while, and (outside of politics) I can't figure out why he just didn't find a different church within the same denomination.

Even if I agreed with McCain on everything else, the free speech issue would be enough to cause me to reject him.

Hillary...I disagree her on way too much to vote for her, and I expect her to be as venal and corrupt as her husband. But she's still the best of a bad lot.

Not that I intend to pick from this group, I'll be "wasting" my vote on the Libertarian.

Well, we got extremely lucky with Lincoln; I think it's a hell of a stretch to hope/assume that we'd hit the lotto again with Obama. I'll take that chance with my mayor, but not the President

Yep, the whole McCain/Feingold thing is another strike against him.

And as far as Hillary goes I never want anyone with the name "Clinton" or "Bush" to even be allowed within 500 miles of Washington again. They've been there since 1988. Enough is friggin' enough.

Agreed 100%, it does make it hard to mock the idea of dynastic succession when we're swapping first families every four to eight years.

I'm voting for Fred. Maybe he'll just decide, you know what? Screw this, I'm awesome so I don't care about delegates or campaigning, and you should just vote the hell for me. The skies will open, angels will descend and wail upon their guitars, and McCain will say "Hells yeah! I'll vote for you, and so will America." THAT would certainly be a change.

Well, they'll WAIL anyway...
