My View Going Home Today
Was nowhere near as purdy as Ann Althouse's was this morning.
If I was a Philostopher I would find some deep significance in the allure of looking to the glowing City to the West over the tired one to the East...

Is that a train station or a ferry pier?

It's Pier 11, the ferry pier at the foot of Wall Street, looking towards Brooklyn and the old coffee warehouses and wharves.

I'm confused. I lived twice in NYC and I find both photos attractive and inspiring.
Something must be wrong with me.

You're very kind, Paul; her photo is lovely (most especially the colors) while mine is just a 'day-in-the-life' sort of snapshot. But thanks and welcome to the Swilling!

Dude, great picture. If you look really close to the far left you can see the dock piling I used to stand on when I would pee on Buzzy's River Cafe after our falling out in 1982. Good times.
