Ozzie Says to Tell Aunt Kcruella

"Thank you VERY much!!"

He thinks it's quite natty.

With Ozzie's teeth bared like that, it looks more like he's saying, "Natty? You want natty??!?!?!. Come over here, and I'll show you natty!!!!"

He's SMILING.

Posted by: tree hugging sister at November 2, 2007 08:06 PM

Smiling? Are you sure? Ozzie looks pretty aggressive to me, ready to pounce on the next unsuspecting human that comes within range of his vicious canine teeth.

Maybe you should feed him more meat? That way, he won't be so interested in hunting.

He always smiles like that until you give him a cookie. Didn't he like the matching hat?

"Then with a profound and deeply willed desire to believe, to be heard, as he had done every day since the dressing up of Ozzie, Major Dad said the necessary prayers for the soul of Tree Hugging Sister."

I know, Dave....I mean, just look at the gleam in Ozzie's eye. That's the "I'm coming for you next" gleam, the mark of a born killer.

Terrifying, isn't he?

Actually he looks like he tolerates it pretty well, something my lab would never do. I just like to tease THS that, like all people who dress dogs, she's going to go to hell for doing it.

(Personally, Dave, I think Scotties are terrific dogs and great pets. My main complaint with the photo is that Scotties should only wear plaids, just like the clans.)

Posted by: The_Real_JeffS at November 3, 2007 08:34 PM

So, am I to believe ~ DAVE ~ that you have denied your schweet wabbie a chance to wear a neckerchief, as ALL self respecting wabs LIVE to do? Hmmmmm? Huh? Huh? If so, I will save the bed o' coals next to mine for you, green meanie.

Scotties are thrilled that someone would think to send them anything, less mind such fine threads to celebrate the holiday in, JeffS. They are entirely too well mannered to quibble over a gift.

Posted by: tree hugging sister at November 3, 2007 08:53 PM

Sis, I am forced to conclude that you and Kcruella are non-traditionalists, then?

Alas! All those generations of plaid, gone to the dogs!

So to speak, anywho......

Posted by: The_Real_JeffS at November 3, 2007 10:41 PM

I prefer to think of us as 'difficult'.

Could you say 'ardent individualists'? Yes, you could.

But 'difficult' is better.

Posted by: tree hugging sister at November 3, 2007 10:49 PM

Beloved mother would agree w/ difficult and maybe throw in stubborn. But there would have been plaid if it was marked down like this one was.

Posted by: Kcruella at November 3, 2007 11:11 PM

THS-Sammy tolerates nothing but her collar. I tried an orange neckerchief for hunting...no sale. I bought her a chest/belly protection vest for hunting to try to keep her from getting scratched up...no sale. There's the purple collar and the orange collar and that's it. Which is fine by me.

"Difficult" would be good. But I think that "frugal" (as in "marked down") fits better with the Scottish tradition than "difficult". Unless you really mean "stubborn".

Those are teeth? 'Sides, he looks like if he sprang at you, that big ole head would pull him right over,if he didn't trip on his necktie, first. A snarling mass of canine fury if ever I say one, and I've survived attacks by savage chihuahuas...

Aye, but have you ever tried to train one to bark in lallans, the noo?

Posted by: richard mcenroe at November 4, 2007 11:34 AM

Welcome, Richard! And yes, they are. Don't let the debonair, man-about-town facade fool you ~ I've only seen one other set of choppers that rivals a Scottie's for sheer 'toothiness'.

I dunno, he looks eight jillion times better than that Britney photo.

I'm not sure I'm reading THAT to him, if you don't mind, Diptera.
