Hmm. I guess teen aged girls might be impressed, but I always thought he looked a bit fruity. Seeing this again after all these years I conclude that my first impression was right.
There's no understanding what women like.

Gotta hand it to Diamond Dave though, he made a career on his personality and charisma to cover up his so-so vocal acumen.

When I saw the reference to tights, I thought you may have been referring to a Russian ballet dance from roughly the same timeframe. But alas no..
I'm just really glad it wasn't David Hasselhoff in tights

I still like the music, however, I'll never understand the big hair and tiger-stripe patterns.
