Between the 'Rock Star' Tour and the '100 MPH' Speedster

...those carbon offsets are gonna cost a bundle.

UPDATE: I guess this (circled in pink) would be a 'mitigating factor'.

" Al Gore III, 24, was driving a blue Toyota Prius about 100 mph"

No

Way.

In all seriousness, the pop-psychologist in me finds it awfully interesting that this messed up 'kid' Al III always seems to do these things on the eve of significant events in Gorezilla's life.

If this isn't a classic "pay attention to me" cry for help, than nothing is.

Spend some time focusing on your family, Al, instead of trying to nanny the rest of us.

I was LMAO when I heard it was a Prius. (But of course, he'd be driving a Prius. He'd probably have been disowned if he'd have had a gas-guzzler. But - like Bingley, I'm kinda amazed one of those can do 100 mph.)

That said...too bad this didn't happen a couple weeks earlier; he could have shared a cell with P***s H****n.

But yeah - it does seem odd that this kid seems to act out just when he does. Or maybe get caught just when he does. I don't know.

It is an interesting "coincidence", isn't it? Pity that The Son Of Gorezilla turned out this way.

As for the Prius reaching 100 MPH.....to paraphrase someone over at Tim Blair's place, it can, if you drop it from a high enough place.

I tend to wonder what he's looking at: marijuana's pretty much just a misdemeanor everywhere, but at least in Florida the other controlled substances (without prescriptions) are felonies, especially alprazolam (Xanax), and I imagine California's statutes are similar. Even assuming that, $20,000 bail is still a LOT for simple possession, which makes me wonder if he had enough of at least one type of the pills to be considered trafficking based on weight alone.

Dave,

I'm sure that young Mr. Gore will be treated just the same as if he were the son of an plumber.

100 mph just isn't fuel efficient.
