There's a little old man at my church who was a paratrooper on D-Day. He won a Silver Star and two or three Purple Hearts, and is blind in one eye thanks to Hitler's men.

He told Hayden that one night, after they had landed and were hiding out in a hedgerow, he and a couple of other guys went and milked some French dude's cow into their helmets so that their wounded comrades could have fresh milk.

I think I'll give him a big hug tonight at church.
