The View From Olympus

I find the Virginia Tech slaughter just too sad to really post about, and others have done a much better job of it anyway.

But I am getting a little tired of these holier-than-thou Euroappeasers sniffing and poo-pooing us barbarians.

See here for an example of enlightened European behavior.

I think it was Tom Wolfe, may have been Tom Clancy, may have been someone else entirely, who said:

"Fascism is always descending on America, but it keeps landing in Europe."

That totally sounds like something Tom Wolfe would say!

Yeah, the Eurosnobs are so tiring now, they've officially gone from annoying to amusing. There's something kind of funny about being lectured on my ignorance from someone who's entire education on America comes from imported television programs and films. My favorites are the ones who are oblivious to the irony of saying something like "all Americans are bigots."
