I just need someone to offer it.

If it were me, I would have flip-flopped the two option plans and tied the 3 million options to shareholder return. At the end of the day, he already got $18.5 million just by showing up. How much more do you need to reward him for his time?"
Not a dime. I'll take the $20 million and leave you to your own devices. How's that for being reasonable?
