Unable to win Senate confirmation, U.N. Ambassador John Bolton will step down when his recess appointment expires soon, the White House said Monday.

Besides Alito and Roberts, I can't think of another person nominated for a position by Bush that had more promise. Bush and congress should be ashamed for not letting him do more by confirming him.

Maybe people are afraid that Bolton would actually do good things at the UN. Or to the UN.
