I REALLY Like Nicole Kidman

And not just because she sent beer out to the photographers waiting on her father's curbside the night before her wedding.

Kidman condemns Hamas, Hezbollah
The actress, joined by 84 other high-profile Hollywood stars, directors, studio bosses and media moguls, has taken out a powerfully-worded full page advertisement in today's Los Angeles Times newspaper.

It specifically targets "terrorist organisations" such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine.

"We the undersigned are pained and devastated by the civilian casualties in Israel and Lebanon caused by terrorist actions initiated by terrorist organisations such as Hezbollah and Hamas," the ad reads.

"If we do not succeed in stopping terrorism around the world, chaos will rule and innocent people will continue to die.

"We need to support democratic societies and stop terrorism at all costs."

And quite a list signed it with her, bless their very un-Hollywood hearts. (Does anyone have a copy of the ad they want to share?)

A warm Swill Salute to RCP.
UPDATE: Got it and a warm Swill salute to Webloggin for that.

Ok, I'm thinking like a Californian here but... how do we get these celebrities into Congress?

There are names I recognize on here that are high-profile Republican/Libertarians. Patricia Heaton was interviewed for a documentary I saw called something like "Right in Hollywood" or whatever.

I admire their courage, because some of them are going to lose work over this.

Here it is:

It's called "Rated R: Republicans in Hollywood." Biggest surprise: Vincent Gallo is a righty. Who knew?

Lisa, there's already a fair amount of leftoid sniffing about "'B-list and lower' celebrities" going on about the folks who signed.

And, like a Californian, you should know you don't stand a chance of it, KG.

Did I miss it? Where is Sean Penn's name? Streisand, Michael Moore? Sorry I just finished running, I'm a little woosy.

Honey, did you mean the phenom Penn?

I heard about this yesterday, and thought it was a bunch of bull... kinda cool.

There's some very cool peeps on that list.

There is nowhere else on earth that you will find a document signed by both Larry Gelbart and Rupert Murdoch.

"Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!"

I admit I'm crushed that Nicole Kidman is once again no longer single, but still, this is very cool. Of course, Mel Gibson is also conspicuous by his absence. ;-)

Oh, and James Woods being on the list reminds me of him talking about being on a flight what was apparently a practice run for 9/11.

I invite all these actors to Beyrout or CANA or Gaza to see how Israel make a sens to the word of TERROR with F15 F16. People in the world like freedom and Peace but two countries in the world are against.
Today Hezbollah and Hamas have total respect worlwide except in USA and Europe.
