Another Sign the Apocalypse is Upon Us
My unnamed, senior military sources have informed me that THIS (pictured below) time honored feature of innumerable presentations, lectures, brainstorming sessions and office jokes is no longer to be referred to as ~ regardless of the fact that the sheets of paper contained herein do, indeed, "flip" from one side of the easel to the other ~ a
"FLIP CHART"...
...since that is also slang for residents of the Philippine Islands. Someone might mistake the chart for a racial slur. So "FLIP" chart is right out.
No word on what the new, politically correct chart has been dubbed. I would offer:
"Butt-kissing Idiots' Turpitude Enhances Madness Exponentially CHART"
Or it's military acronym:

So I assume the messhall has also stopped serving kraut and they no longer strap jerrycans to the vehicles.

Sadly, it's all too true. My source is impeccable (harumph!) and as bemused as the rest of us. It was apparently made known to him by another bemused soul in the training department. My only question was origin; Navy, Marine Corps or both?

The most important rule to follow when making rules, and the one most often broken by politicians and military politicians, is that you should never make a rule that can't be enforced.

My impeccable source tells me they're attempting to enforce "ROLLOVER CHART" as the suitable sub.
(But how do you explain that to the offended 401K's, mutual funds and brokerages around the country?)

I guess blackboards in schools are a thing of the past. However, my daughter states dry-erase boards are often referred to as whiteboards. I feel a lawsuit coming on.....
Actually I'd prefer if the PC crowd just crawled back down the personhole cover they came out of.
