"Harm And Pain"

I mean, I know the Chinese and the Russians and the various European schmutzes are playing their suave game of political nuance to counter any position the US takes, but I wish someone would ask them to unequivably state that they think letting Iran have nukes is a good idea.

"The United States has the power to cause harm and pain," said a statement delivered by the Iranian delegation. "But the United States is also susceptible to harm and pain. So if that is the path that the U.S. wishes to choose, let the ball roll."

There comes a time when you simply have to say 'no'. Iran can not be allowed to have nuclear weapons. It's that simple. I don't want to hear any crap about other nations that have weapons, or why haven't we stopped nation 'x' from getting them; that's all irrelevant. If Iran gets nukes they will use them first.

And that can not be allowed.

I don't see a whole lot of ways for this to be resolved peacefully.I'm just not sure how willing the White House is to take preemptive action again after all the Iraq grief. An dit appears the Israelis are getting a but more concerned, from some of the things I've read. I'm not sure if this is good or bad, but there are some signs we may have the Frogs onboard if we have to take action, but nothing firm.

I'll say the same thing I said about Iraq, and the statement stands. Genocide aside, nuke the middle east. It doesn't matter what the hell you do - and Iraq is proving this right now - you can't bring all these little tribes and make a singular government out of them without being tyranical. It's not pre-Rome cultural structuring, these fuckers hate each other and are greedy for secular power in a way that even old school protestants couldn't understand, that simple. Romans banded together to stomp some Etruscan ass, it worked. Arabs would don't band together outside of their tribes worth a damn (Provided we ignore the Ottoman Empire, but that once again was tyranical). So, since the West can't stomach them not having a democracy, and won't deal with the tyrants they produced (tyrant, ironically is a word that finds it's background in Roman-greek history; meaning someone that took leadership in times of crises in order to produce quick educated military decisions and then returned power to the elders/senate/etc). We also won't take over for fear of being called an Empire. Read some Machiavelli for Christ sake. Blow these assholes up -before they get the ability to return the favor- or stop bitching; one of the two.

PS: Detroit is god damn cold.
