Something I Thought I'd Never Say

...but KUDOS aplenty to whoever locked on NBC's analysts for the Olympics. They borrowed Dick Button from ABC ~ how fabulous is THAT?! NO ONE calls it on the ice like him, never has and never will again. It is a complete and utter relief (and pure, unadulterated) pleasure hearing Dick and not Shrilly Hamilton.

Major Dad was asking plaintively "Where's Peggy?" over and over again. I gently reminded him we need to be thankful for what we got. It could have been a whole lot worse ~ damn near unbearable, in fact.

Yeesh.

I just sat down at Seville and watched Apollo win. Seen all I need at these Olympics to far. =P

I have a love/hate thing going on with Dick Button. I love that he's so knowledgeable, but he's too Mr. CrankyPants sometimes with his "I liked their death spiral because she didn't show her fanny" schitck. He needs to realize that figure skating isn't what it was when he competed -- or even what it was last time he commentated!

I've just evolved into love. While undoubtably a hissy pissy monster, he is still the most honest commentator of the bunch (Okay, along with Peggy...). Hamilton and the girl they've got calling the thing in Torino are fawning gooberheads. I can't stand that.
