No, They Can't

"They can't tell you how to spend your money," said the man, who asked not to be identified for fear of reprisals. "It's still a free country."

But they can tell you where to park it.

Comments

It IS a free country, but not a free parking lot.

God, some people.

It's frickin' nuts...

We've a Chrysler plant and GM not far from here. All makes are welcome there, although the paintjobs of the foreign vehicles seem to suffer an abnormal amount of scratches.

I think it is a bit goofy, but they are well within their rights to do it.

I thought they only banned Marines from their lots?

Guess everybody at the Gap has to wear Gap clothes now and logically all the women at Victoria Secret must wear VS undies, hmm, who'll do the checking? Wonder if Toyota will do the same with it's people in Indiana or BMW in the south?

Silly and petty. But it's their property, and thus their choice. They just have to live with it......

It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Some employee is going to get mugged, run over, or they're going to slip and fall walking across the street and Ford will have to explain why they force some of their employees to risk person and property but not others. If there's not enough room for all, "first come, first serve" might pass and "it's based on seniority" might pass, but "we don't like the way he spent HIS money"? I don't think so.

I second major dad's and Rob's comments. Stupido grande. And no, major dad does not get to apply for Detective Chief Inspector at Victoria's Secret. JeffS can do that when he gets done at the parade.

I can see why you wouldn't let him take that position, ths. The pay is bound to be lousy. The......ahem........perks are prolly pretty good, tho.

When I worked at Dell, after leaving Apple, I frequently said, "I don't mind making these computers because people want to buy them, but I don't know why we handicap ourselves by using them."

Hmmm. Maybe that's why I don't work there anymore! :)
