The Excitement Is Building!

Christmas is coming!

Sorry Suzette:

The Nativity is there, safe in the stable atop the liquor cabinet.

Not so fast, Bingley. Where's the Nativity set?

Posted by: Suzette at December 17, 2005 09:05 AM

On the other side of the room...

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at December 17, 2005 11:34 AM

Okay, NOW Christmas is coming.

Posted by: Suzette at December 17, 2005 02:04 PM

Are you sure that you want your dog gazing so longingly at the tree.....?

Posted by: The_Real_JeffS at December 17, 2005 05:39 PM

Doggone Bing, is there a tree underneath all those decorations?

On another note, interesting figuring to the wood of the drawers on your liquor cabinet. Is that cherry?

Posted by: Cullen at December 17, 2005 06:33 PM

Bah, Humbug!

The dog's got the right idea!

Posted by: genghis at December 18, 2005 05:54 AM

Yeah, my daughter and a friend of hers went a little nuts with the decorations...

The only thing the lab is gazing lovingly at is the inside of his eyelids; he's sacked out and snoring like a freight train!

I'm not sure what the vermeer is on the cabinet Cullen; I picked that up last year in an antique barn in Red Bank pretty cheap,, and the bride just 'pledged' it and it really looks great.

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at December 18, 2005 07:18 AM

Geeze, my tree isn't even up yet...

Posted by: Kcruella at December 18, 2005 10:16 PM

I believe you meant "veneer" rather than "Vermeer," Mr. B...unless you have an undiscovered 17th-century Dutch painting you'd like the rest of the world to know about.

Posted by: Dave J at December 18, 2005 11:43 PM

You don't veneer with Vermeer, Dave J?

Posted by: Cullen at December 19, 2005 06:38 AM

I might, Dave: when I speed down the street Ken always shouts "Look at that mini-van gogh!"

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at December 19, 2005 08:08 AM

From what I hear, his minivan drives like a Vermeer.

Bings, it figures that Thy Three Kings would traverse far for the liquor cabinet.

Posted by: Nightfly at December 19, 2005 10:11 AM

We Three Kings of Orient are
Trying hard to empty his bar...

Posted by: Ken Summers at December 19, 2005 10:27 AM

Carrying fifths,
We've traveled by car...

Posted by: tree hugging sister at December 19, 2005 10:31 AM

Drinking a loada
Scotch and soda
Then a brandy and fine cigar

Posted by: Ken Summers at December 19, 2005 10:54 AM

Ohhhh, OH....
Then we blunder, then we fight,
Then we stagger in the night.
Always reeling, desp'rately feeling,
Our wicked way toward the light...

Posted by: tree hugging sister at December 19, 2005 11:10 AM

Hi Genghis! Yes, he does have the right idea. I'll be taking a nap in the same spot on Christmas day...

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at December 19, 2005 11:52 AM

And he'll pee on the tree, too

Posted by: Ken Summers at December 19, 2005 11:57 AM

Only if I can stand.

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at December 19, 2005 12:00 PM

Heheheheh. I was thinking --

We three kings, disoriented are
Carrying a load from Bingley's bar
Gaspar found the beverage fountain
Now we can't find our car
Ohhhhh,
How I wonder where we parked
Wand'ring aimless in the dark
Westward leaning, often heaving
Sleeping it off in the park

Of course, these three guys would have to pawn the gold to settle the tab, smoke the frankincense for giggles, and spend months in jail for possession of myrrh with intent to distibute. Luckily those other three guys made it out there.
